2010, the year it all started. Fan girls, One Direction infection, the boy band comeback, and it was all thanks to X-Factor (and Simon Cowell of course). One Direction gave us some pretty great albums, and also some really awesome concerts. I’m pretty sure their Atlanta concert on the Where We Are tour is one of the loudest shows I’ve ever been to. It was definitely a great time, and it’s a show I’ll never forget. Basically 1D has left a big impact on many people’s lives.

It’s safe to say they’re a band that’s made people very happy, and most likely also very sad. I’m not going to lie when they announced they were taking a break I was happy for them, but also pretty sad. They definitely needed a break after all they’d done, but I couldn’t help but think about how I’d miss having new 1D albums to listen to!

Then the greatness started… solo songs/albums!! I was really intrigued to see what each of them would do by themselves. I knew they each brought their own style to the band to make some really amazing songs, but I wanted to hear what they’d do by themselves. It’s safe to say that I have not been disappointed.

All of them went with the music style’s I expected from them except for Louis. For some reason I really expected him to go with a more alternative style route, but I’ve really liked what I’ve hear from him. They’ve all come out with some great songs, and I can’t wait to have more full albums from each of them. I haven’t been able to stop listening to Harry’s album, and I can’t wait to hear it live in 2018.

It’s really cool to me to hear the solo albums, and be able to see what each person brought to the table in 1D. You can hear the influence’s each of them had in their albums, and it’s given me a new appreciation for them. They each have a lot of talent, and it’s nice to now be able to appreciate them as a band, and as solo musicians.

I will always be down for a 1D jam session, and I think it would be awesome if they decided to reunite one day. I also think that I won’t be all that upset if they don’t though. It’s really great to see them getting to put stuff out that’s really them, and it seems they’re really happy with how things are. I’ll definitely be buying all of their solo albums, and if there’s ever another 1D album you can be sure that I’ll buy it as well.

I’d love to hear from you, and hear your opinions. Are you a 1D fan? Do you like their solo stuff? Who has your favorite solo songs? Do you like them better as solo musicians instead of as a band? Do you think they’ll ever get back together? Let me know in the comments below or on social media! For now enjoy a song from one of my top favorite 1D albums! Hope everyone has a great 2 weeks! I head to NYC next week so there will most likely not be a post next week!
