Does anyone else think of Lion King when they think of being prepared? My first thought is always the song “Be Prepared,” and I end up singing it for the rest of the day. I want to talk about being prepared today, and no I’m not talking about the preparation that Scar was speaking of. I’m talking about being prepared in your day to day life. More specifically how useful a planner can be in keeping you prepared and organized.
I remember being given a planner from elementary school to high school, but honestly I don’t think I ever realized how great they were until last year. At the beginning of last year I decided I wanted to be more organized, especially because I was going to be taking several online classes. For those who don’t know, online classes seem to take a lot more paying attention to deadlines than other classes do. Or at least that’s been my experience. Because of this, I purchased a planner at the beginning of last year. After using one for a year, I don’t know how I ever made it without one before then. They are such a life saver, and you can get one for fairly cheap.
I know many of you are probably saying, “isn’t that something you can use your phone for?” Yes it is something you can do on your phone, but I found for myself having a book of everything due laid out in front of me really helps me get stuff done. It’s also a great feeling when you can open the book to the week you’re on, and see everything crossed out because you’ve finished it all.
If you feel overwhelmed with trying to keep up with everything in life, I highly recommend you looking into getting a planner. I’m going to leave some links down below of some that I found, and really liked. I also suggest checking out stores like TJ Maxx because that’s where I found mine this year. I got mine for about $6.99, and it’s so awesome. It has a lot of space to write stuff down, stickers, quotes, shopping/to-do lists, and even a little pocket to put stuff in. Having a planner has really helped me stress less, feel more prepared, and keep everything organized. I hope that you can also have the same experience that I’ve had. Have a great week everyone!
